In the eternal city of Macondo, seven generations of the Buendía family experience love, oblivion, and the inevitability of their past and destiny
This is Netflix’s most expensive Latin American project to date, with Colombian bands and indigenous communities making the sets and sets for the series.
I’m still watching season 4, but so far, so good, actually pretty amazing, it’s everything I hoped it would be
I know a lot of people aren’t going to be happy with this adaptation, but at the end of the day, it’s a great, great novel, which we all know it just can’t be made into a movie, and as you all know, the author did it.
I think they did a remarkable job of recreating the spirit of the novel + the cast is very good and the staging of the locations and everything was actually satisfying
Before that, he didn’t agree to adapt the novel, and now his children have agreed to adapt it, so I think the result is that Netflix managed to adapt it pretty well, maybe not all perfect, but they got it very close.
“One Hundred Years of Solitude”; is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month
Overall I recommend people give it a try and don’t let the critics sway you, and don’t let the Netflix title sway you.
