I’m sure this movie was made with great care and love, BUT what it lacked the most, in my opinion, was BREATH. Opera singers learn how to control their breath to conquer ours. And I agree with other less favorable reviews that the opening scene was indeed a poor example of lip syncing, especially since I couldn’t see Miss Jolie breathing! Sure, La Callas lived a glamorous life, but I felt like the focus was more visual in this film. This is the movie that made me stop watching it until the end and I regret it.
