Essentially, they manage the land and secure the leases so they can drill for oil and gas. Like a foreman on a construction site, they build roads, worker housing (men’s camps), oversee the assembly of excavation machinery, and the drilling of the well site itself, especially in remote locations. They are also part fixer, problem solver, and mediator..
I love it and some strong characters
Love this show, a good different story that holds your attention. Billy Bob Thornton is great as Tommy and I love finding out more about how the oil industry works. Jon Hamm is great and Demi Moore as his wife the oil tycoon is inspiring because she is beautiful.
I really hope we don’t have to wait years for another series
Another story about a tough man and a tough life from Sheridan Smith and always a good theme tune. I only have Paramount to watch his stuff and thanks this show is on its way to surpassing Yellowstone. Billy Bob’s Tommy is certainly a better actor or on par with John Dutton.
